Dr. Samuel Saxon

June 28, 2023, Dr. Samuel Saxon aka “Daddy” passed away at the age of 80, peacefully, in his home
surrounded by his 3 girls. Those few moments will forever be branded on our hearts as we watched our
beloved father enter the only home that matters HEAVEN and be reunited with his bride, our mom,
Connie. Dr. Saxon was born in Ridgeland, SC and was a true low country boy, but lived most of his life in
Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Saxon loved his family, friends, and community. He had a fulfilling career as

faith was strong and later in life he devoted himself to the Anglican Church.
He was a provider, protector, master Gardner, known for his Sam’s Jams, and cherished by many. He
was a dedicated father and husband and is now with his amazing love and wife Connie. Dr. Samuel Saxon,
is survived by his daughters Samantha Young (Ross), Laurel Saxon, Rachael Schultheis (Todd),
grandchildren Justin Young (Lauren), Alyssa Newton (Alex), Raquel Schultheis and his great-
